This is an easy cherry chocolate cake recipe I got from my neighbour. With a bit of cream, it tastes like poetry.

- 200g butter
- 180g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 125g ground nuts
- 100g milk chocolate, grated
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons rum
- 150g flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tin cherries, drained

- Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4 and grease a springform cake tin.
- Mix all ingredients except for the cherries; pour into the prepared tin. Gently press the cherries evenly into the base.
- Bake for about 1 hour in the preheated oven.
